The E-Scope II Electronic
Stethoscope can be used in a clinical scenerio just as a
normal acoustic stethoscope. With a one year warranty and 6
month AAA battery life, replacing that acoustic stethoscope
has never been easier. Not only does this rugged stethoscope
withstand daily abuse, but for the first time nurses,
physicians, veterinarians, and other medical professionals
will notice drastically improved sound quality making
physical diagnosis faster and easier. The sounds produced
from the E-Scope II are pure and clean, and murmurs and
faint blows become easily distinguishable. The E-Scope II is
intended for general clinical use, medical education,
telemedicine and paramedic use in ambulances. It amplifies
the heart, breath and bowel sounds or Korotkoff sounds
without amplifying outside noise. It can also be used in a
stress test situation on a treadmill. The slim-line design
with volume and filter controls on the head allows it to be
draped comfortably around the neck and operated easily by
the user. The sound quality is exceptional with 64 gain
positions. Other features and benefits: Supplied with a
single adult diaphragm changeable to specialist diaphragm,
specialist bell, or pediatric/infant size bells Also
supplied with a selection of eartips for maximum user
comfort Output allowing for attachment of a PDA with Pocket
Monitor software, a laptop computer with StethView Digital
Recording software, a computer for recording in .wav format,
and/or a tape recorder or external earphones Designed to
maximize hearing of heart and lung sounds. A sound selector
switch is provided to allow listening in the proper
frequency response for either heart sounds or breath sounds |

The Cardionics Electronic
Stethoscope for the hard of hearing and hearing impaired is
designed to be worn on the belt or lab coat. Includes
headphones for use without removing hearing aids. The
E-Scope II does not work with all hearing aids, but it is
quite satisfactory for most. If the hearing aid is an in ear
hearing aid, we recommend the use of this stethoscope. The
earphones are placed over the ears and plugged into the
output of the E-Scope II. The Belt model E-Scope II is
clipped onto a belt or lab coat and the headphones are
plugged into the E-Scope II. Used in this manner, it is not
necessary to remove the hearing aids from the ears while
listening. With some hearing aids, we have had reports of
feedback. This occurs occasionally, but in the vast majority
of situations, we have had satisfactory reports. The E-Scope
II Electronic Stethoscope can be used in a clinical scenerio
just as a normal acoustic stethoscope. With a three year
warranty and 6 month AAA battery life, replacing that
acoustic stethoscope has never been easier. Not only does
this rugged stethoscope withstand daily abuse, but for the
first time nurses, physicians, veterinarians, and other
medical professionals will notice drastically improved sound
quality making physical diagnosis faster and easier. The

Aviation Style Headphones: To
minimize outside noise and enhance comfort, the E-Scope EMS
Electronic Stethoscope utilizes aviation-style headphones.
The padded seal around the ears and insulation inside the
headphones significantly reduce outside noise allowing the
paramedic to hear soft breath and/or heart sounds in an
ambulance or other noisy environment. The ear pads provide
cushioned comfort for long-term use. Finger-tip Control: All
the controls for volume and heart sound or breath sound
filters are on the stethoscope chestpiece and as well as on
the headphone. Breath and Heart Sound Filter Control: On the
stethoscope chestpiece, the + or symbol is pressed to
increase or decrease the sound volume. On the headphone, a
toggle switch increases or decreases the sound volume. The
toggle switch is easily operated with a gloved finger.
Automatic Shut-off: To extend the life of the AA battery,
the E-Scope EMS shuts off automatically after 1.5 minutes
(an optional 8-minute shut off is available.) Automatic
Volume Restart: When the E-Scope is turned ON, it remembers
the last volume setting thus keeping new volume adjustments
to a minimum. Off-the-Shelf Battery: The E-Scope EMS uses a
standard off-the-shelf AA battery that operates the E-Scope
EMS for about 5 months assuming usage at 30 times per day, 6
days per week. Replacement batteries are available wherever
batteries ae sold. Less amplification of room noise: The
design of the E-Scope significantly reduces the
amplification of unwanted outside room noise when used in
the heart sound setting. When used in the lung sound
setting, there is a little more noise introduced due to the
wider frequency band. Maximum Amplitude: For the E-Scope
EMS, the maximum amplitude or sound pressure level output
without distortion is 120 dB at 100 Hz. This is about 30
times louder than an acoustic stethoscope. Operators Manual
& Instructional CD-ROM: A complete Operators Manual as well
as an informal instructional CD-ROM is included with each
E-Scope. |

Computerized auscultation for fast
reviews & analysis. The Welch Allyn Master Elite family of
electronic stethoscopes can connect directly to your PC for
computerized auscultation. The Analyzer, our advanced
PC-based software captures sound waves with a synchronized
ECG signal and saves them as Microsoft®.wav files. These
files can then be stored, retrieved, shared, emailed, and
analyzed at any time. You can even view the data as a
phonocardiogram. It's the perfect way to document unusual
findings or monitor a patient's condition over time.
